Homonymous words are used to name objects or beings that have the same name or for words that are issued or written in the same way but are distinguished between the two in that the meaning is not the same. Within this type of words are the so-called homographs and homophones and in this article we are going to focus on explaining and giving examples of the former.

Homographs are defined as those that are written in the same way but have more than one meaning, so the environment in which they are used is essential to know how to differentiate which of the meanings is correct for that occasion.
